The South Side Christian philosophy is that learning is an active process where a child learns through doing and exploring. We intend to provide the opportunity for each child to have a variety of experiences particularly adapted to their intellectual, physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs. In each child we aspire to develop independence, self-esteem, self-respect, and respect of others. As an outreach program of our church, we want to instill the love of God in each child, as well as the love of self, love of others, love of learning, and a feeling of achievement.

Our school year begins in September after Labor Day and concludes the Thursday before Memorial Day in May. Our vacations and days off will coincide with the Munster Public School schedule.

TWO DAY CLASS This class will consist of children who are at least three years old. The ratio is 7 students to 1 teacher. The class meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. THREE DAY CLASS This class will consist of children who will be eligible to enter kindergarden the following year. The ratio is 9 students to 1 teacher. The class meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, 8:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
